    Will Chino Pants Stretch?

There will be a bit of give in the legs of the chinos but generally not too much give in the waistband. With each wear the chinos will stretch and move to your body to ensure maximum comfort and flexibility when wearing your chinos. At Connor all our chinos include elastane for stretch.

    Can Chino Pants be altered?

Yes, chino pants can be altered to suit whatever look you are going for. When selecting a pair of chinos one of the most important factors to consider is the fit in which you are looking for whether it be skinny, slim, or straight. Choosing the right fit can sometimes eliminate the need for additional tailoring due to them already being made to be tailored to your suiting. Common alterations that can be done to a pair of chino pants is altering the leg length to suit your height or slimming in the leg of the chino pant in certain areas.

    How should Chino pants fit

Your chinos should fit you the way that you want them to. Offering 5 different fits of chinos this can be easily determined. These fits include skinny for the guy who wants a snug fit all the way through the leg from thigh to ankle or the slim fit which is slightly bigger in the leg for the guy who doesn’t quite want a skinny tight fit but still wants the chino to look neat and tailored. The tapered fit is similar to the slim fit however provides a roomier thigh but still a nice tapered look at the calf and ankle and the straight fit is the roomiest of them all being a straight cut from thigh to ankle. There is also a cuffed style or fit which has an elasticised waistband and elasticised cuffs and the ankle, these are a casual fit in the leg.

What’s the difference between Chino pants and Jeans?

The main difference between a chino pant and a pair of denim jeans is the look, feel and often fabrication. Although many chinos and jeans can be made of the same material composition of cotton, elastane or polyester, the look is different. Where a denim jean is denim look, often blue or black in colour and has a washed effect, chinos are often a plain, flat colour such as a stone or camel colour. Chinos can be considered to be easier to dress up and worn in a more formal attire whereas denim jeans are often considered quite casual in many dress codes.
